From Niche to Trend

At one time Seatbelts were optional, it was a niche market they were selling them only in select models of cars, and you actually had to pay extra for them, this was in the sixties, well not even a decade later all manufactures required them to be included in every vehicle, as a standard, this segways to the DOUBLE SIDED DISPLAY story.

I was manning a booth at an AMOA show and a customer came up to me and told me what incredible tattoos we had and how fast they continue to sell, year in and year out. He also expressed how hard it was to take a “Hot Seller” out of rotation just because it was in the machine for a period of time. With the evolving market, I know how important it is to not only draw the kids to the machine but to keep them coming back, He mentioned that we were one of the only companies that have 15 original designs in each series of tattoos, but as we all know there are really only 7 or 8 you can fit comfortably on one front side of a display..How do you feature spectacular art with out cluttering the display? He then proceeded to tell me that he tapes the tattoos that are not on the front side on to the backside of the display, I was inspired by his creativity by wanting to showcase all of the art, We streamlined that idea and we introduced the DOUBLE SIDED PRE-PRINTED DISPLAY, for the same price as the single sided display. It is great because kids get to see the line in its entirety and it becomes brand new again by simply flipping the display over every time or every other time the operator services the location. It gives a hot seller twice the longevity featuring the art in a whole fresh way again. It is my commitment to always be listening to what the operator wants so I can take it to the creative development team to make it so.

It was once commonplace to have a one sided display, a standard, We are in the niche right now but we know one thing is for certain this a VERY useful tool for operators, we have done the merchandising work for the operator so they can allocate more time locating, keeping machines placed, clean etc.. We know all suppliers will eventually introduce double sided displays and the similar to the story of seatbelt..”Once a niche now a standard” will truly benefit the operators who know it’s the “Sizzle that sells the Steak” that’s what displays are! For now you can count on Brand to supply the niche!

We have also created a true phenomenon in bulk vending, we created ZOOMANIA, it is truly a record breaking one inch capsule item that can be vended through an 850 ct gum wheel, you also can fit more of them in your one inch head, about 15 percent more! I think part of the appeal of this phenomenon is they are collectable, hand painted, come in a perfectly round capsule and are really cute, People literally line up and collect their favorite animals from kids to adults this is the sure thing.
