Sqwishfinder Operator Portal : READY NOW!

The administrators at Sqwishland.com have announced that the already established Sqwishfinder software in Sqwishland.com will soon have a secure portal for Operators only. According to Dax Logue, “We want a special section just for the operators of SQWISHLAND vending machines, kind of like a VIP room just for them”. The purpose of this web space is to provide new exclusive inside information to our operators: new game features, access to Videos, archived Sqwishland News articles, a form to add new SQWISHLAND locations to the Sqwishfinder, and much more. Logue continued, “depending on operator response, we may even have a live chat function.” The portal should go live by 09-07-2010. Since this will be an exclusive, secure area, call your representative to receive your login credentials.

Introducing a great new feature to the Sqwishland game!! Throw water balloons at other avatars and their Sqwishlanders in all landing areas. Kids are already enjoying this new fun element. Soak a friend!! Have a blast!!!

On another note, Sqwishland has gotten quite a bit of positive feedback to our Volume 5, which brought up some of the pitfalls of poor display and machine management. We are pleased that so many of our customers have taken our suggestions to heart, and are already seeing the benefits! One customer wrote that as soon as he improved his display presentation, and added the most current material, he immediately noticed a significant increase in his traffic. It pays to keep your machines current! Thanks for all your great responses!

Good News and the Not so Good News

The good news is that Sqwishfinder.com is working! VERY WELL!

The not so good news is that it has been brought to our attention from the feedback from the kids is that many of of our operators’ machines are not being merchandised properly! In some cases not at all! The issues range from outdated displays, to empty machines that have the wrong displays in them, to unreadable copies and unpeeled Sqwishland.com stickers.

Sqwishfinder.com is driving business to your machines, so please stay on top of what has proven to be very successful; great merchandising and great service! You only have to read one of the many e-mails from disappointed children who located one of your vending machines using Sqwishfinder.com, only to find that it was empty, or did not contain what they wanted to understand how frustrated your little consumers can get!

Help us help you by keeping your machines most current and most attractive to your consumers!

Democracy of play in a capsule

Friday, August 6th, 2010 at 3:13 pm | Posted under Articles

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Sqwishland.com is taking the online world by storm with 29 million units sold and it’s just out of Beta – making the iPad sales look sluggish.

With its very simple concept, it’s hard to know why it hasn’t been done before. Think vending machine meets virtual world. Is it an affordable Webkinz® or the new Club Penguin®? In fact, it’s both – it’s a world first and for as little as 25c, every kid can afford to be part of it. It is democracy in a capsule – for parents of the global financial crisis, it’s a social equalizer.

Sqwishlanders – they are cute, they are collectible, they are fun – a craze every parent can afford to support and you don’t have to go far to find one. Available at those ubiquitous red vending machines found in every supermarket, convenience store, arcade and malls across America, put your quarter in, crank the handle and wait and see what comes out. The surprise of the catch is just part of the fun. Once you open the capsule and see which Sqwishland® character has been dispensed, a fortune cookie style secret code will reveal yet another surprise, an unknown bounty of virtual game cash will be discovered when the code is entered on line.

“It’s these elements of serendipitous discovery which have made this an amazing hit,” said Dax Logue, cofounder of the game and owner of Brand Vending, America’s leading bulk vending supplier. In the 4 years leading to its launch, Sqwishland® sold around 47,000,000 capsule products, and since the April 2010 launch of Sqwishland.com® at the industry trade show in Florida, Brand Vending has taken over 29,000,000 orders, and shipping over 1,800,000 each week.

While every modern parent already knows how an online virtual world of avatars and games works, some questions remain standard. Is it safe? Is it engaging? Is there an educational element? The answer is YES. According to Logue, who also chairs the safety committee of the National Bulk Vendors Association, they “were keen to ensure that Sqwishland® found that delicate balance between safety, education and affordability while still maintaining a quirky attitude and a laid back sense of fun.”

“The hunt for the various Sqwishland® characters has an extra dimension,” said Logue, Every shipment of Sqwishland® capsules are a series of altLimited Edition Rare, Super Rare, Crazy Rare and Unbelievably Rare characters along with the bad guys in Sqwishland®, the Sqwabbles®. He emphasized that Sqwishland® is empowering for kids because of the hundreds of variations and there is a real sense of victory when a rare one is captured.

New Sqwishland® members receive a 30-day free premium membership, while existing members may continue playing Sqwishland® for $ 5.00 per month. Other membership schemes available are $ 25.00 for a 6-month membership and $ 45.00 for a 12-month membership.

Sqwishland.com® is a unique concept, a patented world first that links vending machine technology to the web, made possible through a partnership between FunGuy Studio®, an Arizona-based company that specializes in creating high-end Flash Games and MMO platforms and Brand Vending®, a leader in the market of bulk vending products. Graeme Warring, CEO of FunGuy Studio® says, “most parents want their children to enjoy the peer to peer interaction of an online virtual world, but for many it’s a matter of affordability. As a parent myself, I’m proud that Sqwishland.com® delivers democracy in a capsule and the staggering numbers and the feedback from the kids just proves it.”

It finally happened! Sqwishland the game launched July 1st 2010 in North America. Response was so over-whelming that the servers became overloaded! According to Craig Goodman, International Sales Manager for Brand Vending Products, “No-one could have foreseen the incredible popularity of Sqwishland the game. Though we planned extensively for high demand, even our crack team of engineers was blown away by the rush in the first 24 hours.” Estimates put the total number of users at around 150,000 on that first hectic day. Huge numbers of players tried to log on practically at the same time, causing delays, and even a small amount of downtime. “We were set up to handle 60,000 registrants at one time. No one could have guessed that this many players would try to log on at once,” Goodman continued.

“We quickly responded by adding several more servers that very day. We now have a scalable plan in place that should be able to handle any demand without issue,” he went on. “We are expecting to have some 20 million capsules in machines by the end of the summer. Already we have delivered nearly 5 million capsules containing codes since late May,” he concluded. Try out the game today!!

Brand’s Sqwishland Beta Site Goes Live June 1

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at 4:23 pm | Posted under Articles

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Brand Vending Products reports that a free beta test version of its Sqwishland online game will go live on June 1. Billed as the “the first-ever Internet game developed exclusively for and through bulk vending,” Sqwishland features characters made familiar to kids by Brand’s capsuled squishy toys, which were introduced in 2006. The site officially launches on July 1.

Each 1″ and 2″ capsule in the new Sqwishland product series — formerly the popular Mania and Friends bulk lines — will include a “fortune-cookie style” secret code that youngsters can use to access the game and unlock a corresponding character inhabiting the Sqwishland virtual world. Brand said it will begin shipping products with code sheets in June. It expects to have 25 million codes packed into capsules by the end of July.

Like Disney’s Club Penguin and Ganz’s Webkinz, Brand’s Sqwishland is a massively multiplayer online game, known as MMO or MMORPG, involving a virtual world of challenges, activities and avatars. During its public beta test, the bulk vending company is hoping to get feedback from hundreds players in Sqwishland’s young target audience. It is building awareness for the test through a Facebook campaign and by reaching out to operators’ young family members and their friends. Additionally, seven professional game testers, who will take the game through all its stages, have been recruited for the beta program.

Sqwishland’s Web server has several practical features designed to drive customers to locations. One of them is the Sqwishfinder management tool, which allows operators to enter the locations of their vending machines and the Sqwishland toys available there. After a bulk patron enters a zip code, Sqwishfinder returns a list of proximity matches with directions by Google Maps. Location information, which can be added to the database at an operator’s discretion, is uploaded by using a special access code or by contacting Brand.
